The MIS Commons is a collaborative workspace located in McClelland Hall Room 218.
The MIS Commons is sometimes reserved for MIS courses or other special events. When not reserved, students are welcome to work out of the MIS Commons on their assignments. The layout of the room is particularly conducive to small group meetings and project work.
The MIS Commons has 11 table and cubicle areas of varying sizes, to accommodate group and individual work. Each table features a monitor that students can attach to their portable computers via VGA or HDMI. One of these areas is a small conference room, intended primarily for group conference calls. There is a portable whiteboard available.
There are 2 Windows-based workstations in the MIS Commons that typically feature the same software available in the MicroAge Lab.
The MIS Commons is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, and may be available to MIS department majors, staff and instructors via CatCard access at other times by request.
You can view the MIS Commons calendar here: MIS Commons calendar.
You can request a reservation for the MIS Commons for your special event by submitting a support request.
